Nice villa, nice resort, but... poor service level! Positive: Nice resort with a lovely waterfront, sand beach with several bars and restaurants on offer. The compound is comprising some small supermarkets making your stay convenient. The area is locked and secured. Negative: Out of a 10-days / 4 different rentals stay in Albania, our reservation through SanPietro was by far the most expensive, but also the most disappointing accommodation experience... - 'Granstay Villa Perla Resort' : a rather misleading name! despite the name advertised, the villa is not at all part of the Perla Resort, which is located 800m away. The Villa we were provided was part of a complex called Lura 1 complex, which was not explicit at time of our booking. The villa is rented out via San Pietro Vacation Rentals, with an office 1km away where the keys are to be collected. - Great welcome on arrival with free coffee... before being told that we would need to wait approximately 45min for our villa to be ready due to a late checkout of the previous guests, this despite having reported our arrival time the day before, as well as a few hours prior to our arrival. - At time of our booking via Booking.com, the listing was showing several photos of the Perla Resort, its entrance, as well as its swimming pool, which pool option we had selected as we wanted a direct access to a pool area. None of it is true, and the photos of the entrance and swimming pool are surprisingly removed from the listing now, so we may not be the first customers to complain of this misleading fact. - during our stay at the villa, we faced 2 issues. The first issue (a major one) was a sewage smell in the villa due to a leaking toilet in one of the bathrooms. When we reported the issue after our first night, the SP Staff replied that 'the cleaning staff has nothing to do with this problem as they are professional in their work'... As professional a response as it can be. Ultimately, a technician came by during the afternoon, but the issue was not fixed. When contacted the next morning, the SP staff reported that this unexpected issue 'requires a more specific technical analysis by the construction team who originaly worked on the property'... A villa built years ago!
